Overview of the port

Macinaggio, which gets its name from its windmills, is Cap Corse’s biggest port. It has been active since ancient times and was used by the Romans as a military port.

Seizing the opportunity in the 1970s, when the State was encouraging the creation of marinas, Macinaggio began to develop its port at the top of the Cap.
